[fan-made] from comic printing to comic filming #1: Green Lantern

Even though that the film did win the “Saturn Award: for most anticipated film of the year” it pretty much seems that they should give back the award, many fans have given the film a lot of negative response ever since the first trailer went out, this was caused when the trailer was released and showed some scenes with the special effects unfinished, I mean who does that, really?

This film is the first since the Superman film series, which Warner entertainment has spend a lot in special effects during the production, they used a blue screen instead of the classical green screen because they feared that characters could not appear, since the character is called GREEN Lantern after all.

Martin Campbell is the director and staring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins, Temuera Morrison, Jay O. Sanders, Taika Waititi and Jon Tenney, and with the voices of Geoffrey Rush and Michael Clarke Duncan.
Sow the film has a regular and famous cast so far, some fans don’t like the choice of Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern and some other love the selection of Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, especially if in a future sequel the character is turned in the nemesis Star Sapphire and they use the same effect like in Ryan’s soot.
The story so far from what the trailers, TV spots and the media have given is covers pretty much the whole origins of the character.
A sequel is already on the making but all depends on how this first movie goes in its premiere.

Personally I see the movie in a regular level, I really don’t expect the film to receive less then a 60% on the reviews but it may go well enough in the box office, and if it is the case a sequel is 100% sure.
My recommendation, yeah, see the movie, if you enjoy it great, but don’t focused only on the special effects and based your reviews on that.
Heres the second trailer of the film and it will be in teaters on June 17th this summer.
